Trips, Hiking
Beaufort Village offers homely pubs and restaurants with Irish live Music. A half an hour walk away at the Gap of Dunloe is Kate Kearney's Cottage with Irish Dancing and special music events.
Killarney National Park with Muckross House and Gardens, the Traditional Farms, Torc Waterfalls and the Lakes of Killarneys offers many tours and trips. Another way to get close to Irish culture, history and wildlife is to discover hidden beautiful Ireland on the local nature trails on quiet walks. Close by is e.g. Tomies Wood with fine oak woods and the O'Sullivan Cascade.
The area around the Gap of Dunloe invites for walks and hikes as well as trips by bike, horse or carriage. Also nearby is the beautiful park of the Dunloe Castle Hotel with its rich arboretum (National Heritage).
